PT 08 : Real Love Doesn’t Hold You Tighter, It Holds You Freer

“Love without fear. Love without ownership. Love with a soul awake.” — Pankit Thakker

If you are reading this right now, take a deep breath and relax your shoulders. I want to talk to you directly, heart to heart, about something we all quietly yearn for, yet so rarely find in today’s fast-moving world.

In a generation dominated by late-night mixed signals, ghosting, constant overthinking, and relationships that feel more like anxiety tests than safe havens, it is easy to start believing that love is naturally exhausting. We have been taught to measure passion by how desperately someone holds on, how jealous they get, or how much they need us to feel complete.

But what if real love was never meant to feel like a cage? What if the highest form of love doesn’t pull you tighter, but holds you freer?

The Yogi Who Loved Without Ownership

Think about the story of Shiva and Parvati.

Shiva was the ultimate ascetic, completely detached from worldly status, possessions, and ego. He did not need anyone or anything to complete him. He was entirely whole within himself.

And yet, his love for Parvati is considered the most sacred, grounded, and eternal union in existence.

Why could the most detached being love so deeply? Because his love didn’t come from a place of need, insecurity, or fear of being alone. He didn’t love her to fill a void in himself; he loved her from a place of complete inner peace.

Attachment says: “I need you, therefore I love you.” Awakened love says: “I am whole. You are whole. And still… I choose you.”

You Don’t Need a Savior. You Need Someone Who Respects Your Power.

Shiva never asked Parvati to lose her identity, shrink her light, or change who she was to fit into his world. She was Shakti : pure, radiant, divine feminine energy. He was Shiva : unshakable, calm, grounded masculine presence.

They met as two complete equals without either person having to surrender their true self.

That is what you deserve in your life right now:

No games or guessing: Someone who is so secure in themselves that they don’t need to control your steps, read your messages, or make you feel guilty for having your own life.

A safe harbor: Someone who acts as a calm anchor when your world feels overwhelming, rather than adding to your anxiety.

Freedom to bloom: A partner who looks at your strength, your dreams, and your individuality, and says: “Become fully who you are, and let me love you right there.”

Choosing Love Without Fear

If you have been feeling tired of chasing reassurance, settling for breadcrumbs, or shrinking yourself just to keep the peace in a relationship, let this be your gentle reminder:

True love will never make you feel smaller. It will never ask you to apologize for your depth, your ambitions, or your voice.

When you stop settling for attachment born out of fear and start holding space for an awakened connection, everything changes. You realize that the right person will never try to possess you to keep you in their heart. They will simply choose you freely, consciously, day after day.

You are worthy of a love that feels like home. A love that lets you breathe.
